Spyridon Kakos

Spyridon Kakos (a.k.a. Spiros Kakos) is a writer and thinker located in Greece.

Has worked as a senior advisor in the IT consulting sector for decades, while at the same time writing actively in the areas of philosophy and poetry. Has a PhD in advanced materials science and has also completed studies in business administration, law and psychology. Interested profoundly in science and religion philosophy. Advocate of harmony in philosophy, which entails both science and religion as tools to reach the truth. Researching the limits of irrational philosophy and non-thinking as a path to solve the great metaphysical problems we face. Chief Editor of Harmonia Philosophica. Manages the Poetic Philosophy ecosystem.

Philosophical stance

Spiros has been writing about philosophy for many years and has been managing the Harmonia Philosophica philosophy program since its inception with extreme success. He has been the Chief Editor of Harmonia Philosophica portals since their foundation and is profoundly interested in Religion and Science philosophy, as well as the philosophy of the irrational.

His philosophical work is mainly concentrated on an effort to free thinking from the chains of "logic" and reconcile all philosophical opinions under the umbrella of the "One". As Rilke said, life's purpose is to be defeated by greater things. And the most important things in life are illogical. We must fight the dogmatic belief in "logic" if we are to stay humans...

We should stop thinking in order to think.

Credo quia absurdum!

Poetry

Spiros is managing the Poetic Philosophy brand as well as all the relevant poetic sites and project that are affiliated with it. He is actively writing and publishing poetry and is also keen on collaborating with others in verse.

Programming

Pogramming as a hobby started from the early days of Commodore. Back then, you had to code in order to play your first game. And you had to use the limited resources available in the best way you could.

Spiros (huo) has been programming as a hobbyist for years and has been contributing to the open source community projects related to multiple areas. He was writing under the nickname Palavos in CodeProject and has also contributed to the famous BASIC 10Liner Contest in 2021 (check here for the contest page) with Huo Philosopher (a 10-line program in BASIC that answers all questions of philosophy).

His main contribution is Huo Chess, a mini chess program destined to show to the world how chess algorithms work and how a chess program operates. Resources about 'Huo Chess' in multiple programming languages (C++, C#, VB, QBasic) are available through Harmonia Philosophica "Huo Chess articles" and via the Chess-Programming.com portal "Huo Chess programming articles".
